I recently purchased a Central Pneumatic 40400 air compressor intake filter, but I couldn't find a replacement part at Harbor Freight. Instead, I bought a compatible air filter on Amazon that fits perfectly. All online air filters had one major issue - they didn't match the compressor head thread. To fix this problem, you may need to sand down the threads to get a secure fit. The key is to use high-resolution printing settings for proper threading. When selecting an air filter, make sure it's designed with high-temperature materials in mind since the compressor head can get extremely hot.
