Central Park Bench
thingiverse
Roughly based on a classic style of bench found in New York City's Central Park, this set features two leg widths and two bench widths for added versatility. The bench slats come in 100mm and 170mm widths, allowing you to choose between a compact or wide bench design. The legs are available in 4mm and 7mm widths to suit your needs. # Scaling Using a standard Central Park bench height of 80cm (800mm) as a reference point, scaling down to a miniature size would result in a bench only 66.7mm tall. To achieve this scale, you can print at approximately 70% of the original model dimensions. # Printing All components are provided as individual STL files, which you will need to print: - Two legs - Seven slats You can easily print both legs together in a small print volume by rotating one leg 180° and nesting them closely. I have tested printing the legs with 0.06mm layers and the slats with 0.20mm layers. # Assembly Depending on your layer size when slicing, the slats may fit snugly or loosely onto the legs. A small amount of glue between each leg and slat should be sufficient to secure them in place. To assemble the model, start by attaching two or three bench slats to one leg, allowing them to dry for a few minutes. Once they are set, attach them to the other leg to stabilize and balance the entire miniature. Then, proceed to add the remaining slats, one at a time, until the model is complete.
