Centering plate for Thorlabs kinematic mirror mount (Reloaded)
thingiverse
This design improves upon a previous Centering plate for Thorlabs kinematic mirror mount, found on Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:259018). When utilizing a Thorlabs KM100 kinematic mount to secure a mirror, the reflective surface is offset from the mounting post's center. Consequently, aligning input and output beams using an optical table's grid can be quite challenging. This straightforward component enables shifting the mirror's surface to the post's center, simplifying alignment. Description: In this enhanced version, M4 nuts have been incorporated, allowing for a secure fit between the component and both the kinematic mount and its corresponding post holder. To generate these nuts, you will need to utilize the file "nuts_and_bolts.SCAD". Materials Required: 2 standard M4 nuts, 1 printed component
