Center Target

Center Target

I needed a reliable way to gauge how far off-center I was printing on my bed. So, I created a target design that would allow me to mark the bed and measure its distance from the center. To set up: Optional: Apply a strip of painter's tape to the bed to keep it clean of pen marks. 1. Place the target model at the center of your bed in your slicing software. 2. Slice and print the model. 3. After the print is complete, mark the bed with a standard sharpie. 4. Remove the print and measure the X and Y distances from the center of your bed. Note these values carefully. 5. Input those measurements into your slicing software's offset bed options (I use Simplify3D). 6. Recenter the target in your slicing software. 7. Reprint the target. It should now print precisely at the center of your print bed. 8. Take pride in knowing your print bed is now perfectly centered.
