I wanted to create a precise drilling system for wood dowels. The only option available was another center marker I had made on my printer, but it wasn't ideal. The marker's offset depended on the thickness or sharpness of the pencil or marker used, which just wouldn't cut it. I tried using a patented center maker from Thingiverse, but it was subpar. It would have been excellent if it were finely machined, but it fell short. I had to rely on my printer's output, which wasn't close to being perfect. So, after some prayer and deep thinking, I came up with this solution. This design is specifically tailored for a fine lead mechanical pencil that I've relied on for years. It works seamlessly, and now I'm excited to share it with you all. This system can mark wood dowels of up to 1.5 inches in diameter and larger stock up to 6 inches. It's a quick and efficient way to achieve precise results without any moving parts. The design prints fast and is built to last forever. I hope you find this helpful. Happy printing!
