Center Scribe
thingiverse
This handy tool enables you to effortlessly pinpoint the exact center of an object with precision, much like measuring a piece of wood. You can also mark lines at precise size increments from the edge of the object with ease. This tool is based on tried-and-true methods found in your local hardware store. I created this design in Fusion 360 and made it easy to modify or customize by uploading the files. The model comes in two parts, which can be printed separately to minimize the need for supports. Alternatively, you can print them as a single unit with strategically placed supports underneath the measuring surface. The distinctive "towers" on top serve multiple purposes beyond their role in center-finding. Firstly, by inserting 12mm diameter magnets into these towers, you can store the tool by snapping it onto any metal surface, such as a cabinet drawer. The towers also feature holes that allow you to stash a pencil (check out the photo for an idea).
