Hand modeled forced perspective. The words on the marquee are left off for you to add yourself, they do not print well due to the size(especially if you have to scale to fit your bed)\nThe left side of the book on top of the building is the only place that needs support.\nHow I Designed This\nI built this model as a regular building first. In the perspective window, I adjusted the camera to around 20mm for a more pronounced fish-eye effect. After getting the angle just right, I took a screenshot. I then brought the image in as a background map. To achieve a depth of no more than 1/2", I scaled pieces along the y-coordinate. For some pieces, I was able to apply a taper to rough out their shapes. Most of the time, though, I moved vertexes around and used boolean operations to craft the mesh. This model required a lot of trial and error, and I wish there was a bas-relief button.
