Center Finder/Pencil Sharpener
thingiverse
I'm creating a customized center finder with a unique twist. I prefer the simplicity of two-pin units over more complex parallelogram devices. Inspired by nono30's design, which stores a pencil in the device (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2594439), I wanted to take it further by adding a pencil sharpener at the end of the storage compartment. You can use any standard #2 pencils with a diameter of approximately 0.300 inches. The sharpening blade is carefully angled at 20 degrees, which closely matches the taper of golf pencils, allowing more of the pencil body to be centered within the device. This custom center finder is designed to accommodate boards up to 6 inches in length (5.5 inches nominal). If you need to measure anything larger than that, it's probably time to break out your trusty tape measure!
