Center finder for small round stock
thingiverse
To rapidly locate round stock's center for drilling, insert a center finder into your Jacobs-Chuck in place of a bit without tightening. Position the round stock and vice square with the centerfinder. Gradually lower the milling head while verifying contact on both sides. Adjust the X-axis if necessary to align the indicator with the center bar on the stem, then mark the center on the round stock or chuck. After downloading three parts, assemble and weld a pin at the back, painting small spots on the tip of the indicator and the stem's center bar for visibility.
