Center Finder + Edge Marker
cults3d
This is a center finder and edge marker. Most standard pencils should fit. Squeeze the sides to hold the pencil in place while marking the center line. Flip the center finder over and use the markings to measure and mark 1/2, 3/8, 1/4, 1/8, 7/16, 5/16, 3/16, 1/16. I can't guarantee that they're SUPER precise, but I measured each length after my first print and they were pretty spot on. It prints in 3 pieces so you don't need any supports (print the peg twice). Pieces fit snug but you should be able to assemble without breaking the pieces. I first saw something like this on an Instagram ad and it looks like Rockler sells it too https://www.rockler.com/rockler-center-offset-marking-tool UPDATE 5/2/19 I was challenged to add a version with 608 bearings instead of the plastic pegs. While I believe it would take several hundred passes on some fairly rough cut lumber before you'd notice any significant wearing on an ABS or PETG part, I accepted the challenge. The new pegs use two standard 608 bearings to roll across the stock as opposed to slide, like in the original model. You will also need the following: Two - M5x40 hex (or 35, all I had was 40) Two - M5 washers Two - M5 nuts or nyloc nuts It may take some work to get the hex screws in. I had to thread them in multiple times until I could push the screw through the last little bit for the hex head to seat properly in the peg base. Use the pictures as a reference for assembly.
