After several attempts including modifying it to print cleanly on it's side but still finding that no matter how well printed it could break off with attachments hanging on, I realized a longer screw through the center should fix it nicely. You'll want to make sure to affix it tightly enough that it doesn't spin (or perhaps add some double sided foam tape).
