Centauro B1 120mm tank destroyer (Italy)
thingiverse
This is a 1:76 scale replica of the Italian Centauro B1 tank destroyer/reconnaissance vehicle, equipped with a 120mm low-recoil gun. It's based on Empy's skin model shared in the SketchUp library, and I'd like to extend my gratitude to him. The model required substantial work as the wheels were not fully integrated, and the level of detail needed simplification and reinforcement for satisfactory printing. The wheels aren't quite accurate yet (they appear too flat), and the turret baskets require further refinement, but I'll likely be preoccupied for a while. To accommodate different printing preferences, I've provided alternative model slices. This vehicle develops an attractive appearance and offers a unique design. As usual, it was created using SketchUp, with the model split into parts thanks to AutoCAD. 3D Builder from Microsoft also played a role in its development. Occasionally, Blender was used when slicing proved troublesome. Not all models handled splitting robustly, but those published seem to work well.
