Centauro at Canary Wharf, London
myminifactory
Igor Mitoraj’s Centauro vividly portrays a nearly complete centaur ready for combat, its mythological status evident in the partially finished yet battle-ready sculpture. Installed in 1984 and situated permanently within Montgomery Square's public area at Canary Wharf, this artwork is part of "Scan The World," a non-profit endeavor spearheaded by MyMiniFactory. By creating a global digital archive of fully printable 3D sculptures, artworks, and landmarks for free public access, Scan the World aims to make cultural treasures accessible worldwide. This project is an open-source community effort; if you have unique items around you that you'd like to contribute, email stw@myminifactory.com to discover how you can participate in this initiative.
