The model reveals a rugged gorge carved into solid rock with numerous thin sandstone strata worn away by steady stream erosion. Although some fractures are visible, they seem to have little impact on the stream's ability to remove blocks of rock. The rounded contours of the bedrock layers suggest that abrasion is the dominant force at work. Field data was collected on July 20, 2016, by Les Hasbargen.
