This is another mask-ear-strain reliever. I initially designed and printed these for a good friend and am now making them for anyone who wants them (as well as sharing them here). The Celtic Sailor's Knot has special significance to me for three reasons: First, it symbolizes friendship, as many of us are making these - or were at least inspired to make these - for our friends on the front lines against COVID19. Second, that it symbolizes the intertwined network of healthcare providers from first responders, doctors and nurses, techs and hospital maintenance personnel as well as the countless others who are risking themselves every day to save lives. Third, is the traditional story that sailors used to weave these knots to remember loved ones while away from them at sea; which reminds me of those healthcare workers who have had to quarantine themselves from their own families and loved ones - for fear of infecting them. Please make and give these away, I only ask that you do not charge anyone for them - ever. (Included Gcode is for 11 copies of this thing on a 210x250mm print bed (Prusa Mk3s) though I suggest slicing it yourself from the .stl file with your favorite settings. You can edit and/or remix it using the F3D file with Fusion360 (or anything that can import Fusion files) I only ask that you link any remixes back to this post so I can try them out/print them as well. Cheers! Print instructions0.15mm or thinner layer height - there is a fillet that is only 1mm tall along the knot, giving it the whole Celtic Knot vibe that is lost at larger layer settings. 15% infill - or solid - it's really only a very minor difference in time and plastic as there isn't much fillable area. 3-layer walls - again these are tiny and thin - anything to make them stronger. PLA, PETG, ABS, anything you have laying around is fine.
