Cellulose Chain

Cellulose Chain

thingiverse

This new 3D model showcases a partial chain of cellulose, obtained from London South Bank University's website via a pdb file. Using VMD and tinkercad, the model was manipulated, with bond issues resolved by replacing them with cylinders in tinkercad. The print quality is excellent, and additional paintwork has been applied. Multiple chains can be connected, but further testing is needed to determine effectiveness. Pictures are provided, and a raft was used for printing with no support required. Additional color information can be found on wikipedia for accurate atomic representation; future projects may involve DNA modeling.
