Cellular Soccer Boot (Inspired by Second Skin)
myminifactory
We just discovered a misleading article about 3D-printed shoes on the UKSoccershop blog (http://www.uksoccershop.com/blog/game-changer-3d-printed-boots/). The actual technique used is 3D knitting, not 3D printing. We appreciate the innovative design and decided to create our own version using 3D printing. We're aware that the shoe isn't wearable yet due to its thickness. To make it more comfortable, we need to reduce the layer height and add a soft material to prevent friction between the foot and the nylon surface. The boot was printed on an SLS 3D printer without support structures. However, if you want to print it with resin or PLA, you might need to add some supports to ensure successful printing. We'd like to thank Sam Margetts for inspiring us with his great idea!
