This is an automatic spinning platform for 3D scanning with a cellphone. The platform rotates the cellphone around a 380mm diameter circle. A servo, controlled by an Arduino board in a specific sequence, activates the turning mechanism, making pauses to activate the cellphone camera via Bluetooth remote control. The servo tower can be easily removed to activate the turning mechanism manually with a handle. The platform is too large to print in one piece. One of my goals with this design was to use only 3D printing (except for attaching electronics to the platform), without any glue or screws. Therefore, I developed different kinds of snaps and shapes to attach parts together. Electronic components include: * Arduino UNO R3 * YwRobot Relay * Generic Bluetooth smartphone selfie remote control * TowerPro Micro Servo 9g I converted the servo to enable continuous turning. You can find a detailed list of parts, including printing time, estimated filament, price, and number required. The numbers refer to images of separate parts in 3D renderings. The code is available in a txt file. Watch this video showing it in action and the result model: https://youtu.be/3Wq3vU6Ea6A Enjoy printing! Print settings: * Printer brand: RepRap * Printer: Prusa I3 * Supports: No * Resolution: 0.2 * Infill: 15% * Notes: View parts list in images for other data. Post-printing experience: I tested each snap and assembly on partial prints, and they all worked fine. When printing larger pieces, the temperature changed, affecting the prints' accuracy. I had to file some round snap knobs (the long ones) to prevent them from breaking when snapping with other parts. When assembling the top ring, putting the snaps together only rigidified when both sides were snapped correctly. Although I didn't want to use glue, I chickened out on that top ring and applied glue in the snap holes before inserting the small "C" clamps. If some turning parts are too snug, you can apply a tiny bit of Jig-a-loo and turn the parts to spread and dry it.
