For an updated and improved version on my own website, visit https://www.designuitinspiratie.nl/cel-structuur-lamp2/ A simple ambient light source is easily achieved with a few basic components. I used an Arduino Nano as the control unit and 6 NeoPixels to create a colorful display. These NeoPixels can be purchased at a low cost, making them an ideal choice for this project. For more information on these pixels, visit the AdaFruit website at https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-neopixel-uberguide/arduino-library-use. I used an example code from AdaFruit and modified it to create a smooth color-changing effect. The LED lights slowly transition through various colors, creating a soothing ambiance. For more details on the project, including wiring diagrams, sketches, and library information, visit https://www.thingiverse.com/th... or https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-80721. This lamp measures 90x90x90 mm in size and is printed using green PLA plastic, except for the diffuser which is made of translucent PET-G. I have two types of diffusers: a flat one and a spiral-shaped one printed with the "spiral outer contour mode". The spiral-shaped diffuser has a unique design that allows it to refract light in a unique way. However, it did warp during printing, so more wall layers should be used to prevent this issue. The flat diffuser is printed normally and can be made thicker or thinner depending on personal preference. Both diffusers are designed to reduce glare from the LED lights and create a softer, more ambient glow. If you place the lamp high enough, you may not need a diffuser at all. Green PLA plastic was used for the main body of the lamp, printed with a 0.4mm nozzle and 0.2 mm resolution. If you have any questions or would like to provide feedback on this project, feel free to ask! Constructive comments are always welcome.
