Cell Phone Stand

Cell Phone Stand

thingiverse

This is a redesigned cell phone stand that builds upon my previous post on Thingverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1949424). The original design had some issues when used with a USB charging cord, so I integrated a charging pad into the new version ("Anker Wireless Charger PowerPort Qi Wireless Charging Pad" from Amazon.com, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00Y839YMU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). The part prints best when positioned on its side. To prevent it from sliding on my desk, I added rubber feet to the bottom. Additionally, a piece of foam tape was applied to the lip that holds the cell phone to keep it securely in place. The charging pad is held firmly in position using double-stick foam tape. The photos show an optional design variation featuring my company's logo on the front, but this feature has been removed from the STL file uploaded here. For easy access, I left the USB cord accessible at the top of the stand instead of burying it inside. While this may not look as sleek, it provides more functionality for me. I designed this cell phone stand using TinkerCAD. Print Settings: Printer: QIDI Tech 1 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: Standard (0.2 mm) Infill: 20% Notes: Print the part on its side to minimize the number of supports required. I designed this project in TinkerCAD.
