Cell Phone Sketcher

myminifactory

This innovative device transforms your cell phone into a digital Etch-A-Sketch. Check out this video to see how it works and the classic Etch-A-Sketch in action: https://youtu.be/dcaErURbyIA. To show your appreciation for my designs, consider subscribing to my YouTube channel. You can find the link here: https://www.youtube.com/potentprintables. This device requires some additional components beyond 3D printed parts to function properly, including a conductive stylus and jumper wire. The STL files come with a complete parts list and assembly instructions. If you prefer not to source individual supplies, you can purchase a kit of non-3D printed parts from my Etsy store: https://www.etsy.com/shop/PotentPrintablesShop. Please note that buying the kit is cheaper than purchasing raw materials, which would yield enough material for six Cell Phone Sketchers. However, it has a higher total cost. I've discovered differences in touchscreen sensitivity to the stylus, particularly between Android and Apple cell phones. Apple devices require the stylus to be electrically connected back to the user. While I haven't extensively tested different Android phone manufacturers, buying the wrist strap can guarantee compatibility. More information on this is included in the instructions. This design drew inspiration from: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1668472 and https://twitter.com/ferjerez3d.
