I built this scratch design after taking inspiration from Chickan's impressive creation. My printer is a Prusa kit, and its tolerances caused some seams to fuse together unintentionally. I aimed to craft a bulletproof design that would be perfect for novice printers, so the hinges are sturdy and generously proportioned. The clearance between sections was deliberately widened to ensure ease of use. Since the frame needed to accommodate displaying a book or picture, it had to be substantial. There are ten minuscule tabs strategically placed to prevent curling at the corners – these will be carefully cut with an exacto knife before the box is fully opened. Additionally, two triangular rails provide vital support for the "foot" hinge and can be prised off before lowering the foot into place. The circular corner tabs come off easily and serve to keep the entire piece flat, as the mechanism relies heavily on precision engineering. The upper section of the center "horseshoe" is thick enough to accommodate recessed letters if you wish to add initials or a monogram.
