Cell phone adapter for Aputure HN100 Amaran Halo LED Ring Light
thingiverse
This connector allows you to attach a high-intensity LED ring light (used for macrophotography) Aputure HN100 Amaran Halo to a cell phone, resulting in extremely bright and shadow-free lighting for your cell phone rear camera. The STL file provided is specifically designed for a particular phone model (Moto Z3) with a particular case. It's likely that you'll need to modify it for your unique phone + case combination by editing the included Fusion 360 file (Phone_light_customizable). You may simply need to apply an offset operation to the faces holding the cell phone. When printing, enable supports for angles greater than 60 degrees and print it with the side facing the LED light downwards. I used 100% infill, black ABS filament, 0.2mm layers, and a 10% ZigZag infill pattern for the supports in Cura. This results in very easy-to-remove supports. You'll need to sand down the area where the supports were attached so that it's smooth and the adapter securely locks into place within the LED light. The connector weighs approximately 24g.
