Based on mxcoppell/apshooter's inspiration found on cloudynights.com To replace the inadequate "Black Teflon Compression Ring" supplied by Celestron for Rasa 8" telescopes. Three models: The latest design is rasaring2, which utilizes PETG and a printer to create a slightly larger size. The washer part has been removed, resulting in a full metal-to-metal connection. rasaring2: 85.6mm inner diameter, 87.4mm outer diameter, 2.3mm height. The previous design is rasaring, featuring 87.5mm outer diameter, 85.4mm inner diameter, and 2.3mm height. This model fits snugly within the retaining ring, eliminating the need for a washer. As a result, the metal of the Rasa-T-ring adapter will directly contact the metal of the Clamp Ring. The third design is rasaring-washer, boasting an outer diameter of 87.5mm and an inner diameter of 85mm, both with a height of 2.3mm. A separate washer or bearing component measures 87.5mm in outer diameter and 81mm in inner diameter, standing at a height of 0.6mm. This design is specifically engineered to fit between the Rasa T-ring adapter and the Starizona filter slider, allowing filters to slide out effortlessly without hitting the Clamp Ring. Notably, the height of the washer has no impact on backfocus.
