The Celestron NexStar 6SE and 8SE mounts are the same, except the gear cover/dovetail shroud. The 8SE shroud has a larger radius to accommodate the larger tube diameter. If you want to use a 6SE mount with an 8SE tube, you will need the larger shroud. This is my first thing I have ever designed, and made it while learning the Fusion 360 basics.
