If you're using your Celestron Edge HD800 with Fastar or Hyperstar, or if you need to remove the mirror cell for any reason, this protective box ensures its safety. The design accommodates the Edge HD800, but it should fit all C8 models. The thread on the box is a snug fit, so be aware that if your printer over-extrudes plastic, the lid won't fit properly. When printing this design for the first time, avoid gripping the lid too tightly while turning it. This will increase friction and cause the thread to bind. After a few turns, the two threaded parts should grind smoothly together. I've successfully printed this box with PLA, and PETG is also a suitable material.
