This was a design I put together a few months ago to attach a finder scope I purchased for my telescope but didn't have a suitable place to mount it. Since I wasn't willing to drill into the telescope or resort to some sort of adhesive, I decided to create an insert that would fit snugly in the slit of my telescope handle and hold my finder scope securely in place. I own an Explore Scientific 8" Astrograph and the finder scope is a Celestron 51630 Star Pointer.
