We all know the original Astromaster red dot finder is pretty useless. The problem is that you can't replace this without drilling holes in your telescope and you may not want to. This adapter allows you to remove the existing red dot finder and replace it with a vixen/sintra style quick release finder of your choice. The QR shoe is designed so that it takes a 3mm bolt and can be tapped with a suitable tool, but it's also "off to the side" enough to allow you to fit a nut on the inside instead. My usual rules apply - I'm happy for you to use this personally or print for a mate, but if I catch you selling them then I'll throw my toys out of the pram and report your details to every astro page I can think of.
