Celestron Astro Fi 130mm tripod parts
thingiverse
I recently acquired a Celestron Astro Fi telescope, only to discover that it was lacking several crucial components. A vital part that was noticeably absent from the package was the tripod center disk. To compensate for this oversight, I took matters into my own hands and designed an alternative solution with three carefully positioned lens holder slots. Upon closer inspection of the spreader arms, I noticed that they were poorly constructed from the factory. Furthermore, the roll pins that held them in place were prone to falling out, rendering the entire mechanism unstable. To address this issue, I replaced the flimsy original arms with three sturdy new ones, each requiring M4x40 screws and nylock nuts for secure fastening. What's more, these upgraded spreader arms can be utilized independently of the custom center disk, allowing users to enhance the performance of their telescope's metal spreaders without having to install the new disk. In addition to the missing tripod center disk and subpar spreader arms, I also discovered that the lens cover was nowhere to be found. However, a replacement cover is available for download, providing a convenient solution for those who are in need of one.
