Celestron 1.25 inch Eyepiece Filter DIY ring
thingiverse
This is designed for resin printers, but with some adjustments, an FDM printer could easily create this.\r\n\r\nThe threads should line up perfectly for Celestron eyepieces or any other eyepiece that uses M28.5x0.6 threads. You can adjust your print settings to get it a little thinner or thicker if needed, but after a few attempts, my settings are perfect for me.\r\n\r\nTo assemble the design:\r\n1. Cut out the filter material just a tiny bit smaller than the smaller ring - 22.5mm in diameter.\r\n2. Place the filter material inside the larger threaded ring.\r\n3. Insert the smaller ring into the larger threaded ring.\r\n4. This assembly will be a snug fit, and no glue is required, but use it if you need to.\r\n\r\nThe slots on the threaded ring allow for slight adjustments before screwing it down, which can help compensate for small variations in size.
