I designed a retro-style joystick inspired by the classic Tac 2 joystick, utilizing Sanwa parts that I had on hand. To create this custom controller, I modified the joystick case by cutting into the plastic and replaced the ribbon connector with pins pointing directly downwards. The electronics consist of a low-cost USB encoder from eBay, which is currently secured to the bottom using hot glue. As I continue working on this project, details may change over time.
