I upgraded my spools for 1KG rolls but wanted something better - two massive 4.5KG rolls and a sturdy 5/16 rod that wouldn't bend under load. So, I designed a heavy-duty center bracket to hold it all in place and printed it with 100% solid layers. It's mounted right in the middle of my enclosure now. I used generous support structures at 70-degree angles everywhere, which helped out in some tricky areas. Printing it on its back also made things easier - check out the reference pictures for a better look.
