Ceiling Light Cover

thingiverse

A custom cover for a ceiling light fixture Print Settings Printer: gCreate Max 1.5+ Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.20 mm Infill: 25% Notes: This design is meant for use in ceiling fixtures with three set screws, allowing easy installation of Phillips HUE LED bulbs. PLA was used due to its lightweight properties and ease of printing. However, if incandescent bulbs are preferred, consider a different plastic material as the heat may cause PLA to melt. Files are measured in inches; I prefer this unit system for my designs. The print orientation was set to base down, resulting in a smooth and successful print without any support structures required. The DXF file originated from Librecad and was used in OpenSCAD to create a rotated extrusion. This design was then exported into an STL file, which was loaded into Repetier and sliced using Cura for optimal results.
