##Mounting Bracket for Ubiquiti Unifi APs This bracket should fit UAP-AC-LR, UAP-AC-LITE, and UAP-NANOHD models. The standard mount included with these APs requires drilling holes through ceiling tiles. This bracket allows you to install the AP without damaging the ceiling tiles when it's later removed or moved. Remix Changes: 1. The clips were trimmed and re-spaced to fit around a cross beam in the grid. 2. The clips were rotated to align with the bracket's thickest part. 3. Heat vents were added based on comments from others: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2196922 4. An extra 1 mm of clearance was added between the bracket and ceiling, giving room for heat to escape through the new vents. 5. The ends of the clips were modified to fit snugly onto the grid without scaling down. 6. The overhang angle on the locking tab was reduced. 7. The part was rotated so that the locking tab points towards users by default, making it easier to remove from the print bed for right-handed people. ### Warning PLA has a glass transition temperature as low as 140F, and UniFi APs can get quite warm. In air-conditioned facilities, you'll likely be fine. I've been running one for two weeks without issues. However, in locations without A/C, such as shops or older buildings, where the base temperature may be warmer, consider using ABS or PET-G instead. ### Printing Notes * Printing with three walls produced better results than printing with two. * It's possible to fit four of these on a 200 mm print bed, but arranging them carefully is necessary. You might also need to reduce cooling to prevent curling edges. * Estimated print time in Cura for one piece was 2:15, while the actual time took around 2:45. For four pieces, estimated print time was 9:06. * Let it cool slightly before removing from the build plate, as warping can occur if it's too warm. ### Model Options There are two models included with this thing: a standard model and an extended model. The "_extended" model is intended for use when you have ceiling tiles with trimmed edges that hang below the grid, extending the mounting clip 6 mm from the plate.
