Ceiling Fan Light Bulb Pull
thingiverse
My wife constantly complained about never remembering which chain to use to turn on the ceiling fan lights. To solve this issue, I decided to create something that would make it easier for her to remember. After researching different options, I found a design by ggangemi that I particularly liked and thought would be perfect for our needs. The main goal was to customize it in multiple colors, so I opted to split the model into separate parts. This decision made it much simpler to print each part individually and color them as desired. Print Settings Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Notes: I employed a brim on the light bulb portion for added stability during printing. Post-Printing To assemble, I connected a beaded chain connector to one end of a beaded chain. I applied a super glue gel into the light bulb part's hole and inserted the connector securely. It is crucial that the connector is fully inside the light bulb part to ensure proper attachment. Next, I threaded the chain through the base and added some extra glue for additional hold before placing it in its correct position. This secures the chain in place since the hole on the base is slightly smaller than the one on the light bulb, effectively trapping the connector between them.
