Ceiling Fan Blade Spacer

Ceiling Fan Blade Spacer

I live in a house with ceilings that are too low for me, especially when I'm standing under the ceiling fan in my kids' room. The constant thud to the head was getting old, so I needed a way to give myself some extra clearance. That's where the custom ceiling fan blade bracket came in - it allowed me to create a spacer that increased the height of the fan blades. To secure it all, I swapped out the original screws for 1-1/2 inch 10-24 screws and scaled up the 3D model to 32 mm high. Unfortunately, the holes didn't line up perfectly, so I had to drill new ones - but it was worth it in the end. To finish things off, I countersunk the part of the spacer that meets up with the fan blade bracket. The glow-in-the-dark filament added a fun touch, turning my ceiling fan into a spinning night light for my kids. Now they love it and I don't have to worry about getting whacked on the head anymore!
