Ceiling Fan Blade Bracket

The original ceiling blade bracket gave up, so instead of settling for a replacement with equally weak resistance, I created a new one from ABS. The 3D printed part turned out to be stronger than its metal counterpart. How do I know that? I loaded another identical metal bracket until it snapped under the weight. Then I subjected the plastic one to the same test, but it refused to break under the load. In the end, I ended up making two brackets, and now I'm confident they won't fail in use.
