This ceiling cup extension offers ample space for cables and can be mounted above the original lamp cup, such as an Ikea lamp in this case. It also serves as a mounting platform for electronics that control the lamp, including Sonoff, Shelly 1, Zigbee products and more. The wall thickness is a sturdy 1.5mm. To fit over the hole in the bottom, the original cup must measure between 5-10 cm in diameter. A photo shows a white cup with approximately 5cm height and a black one with before-and-after pictures measuring 3cm. The lamp's hanging arrangement may require an extension to accommodate the cup extension, which can be achieved by adding a loop of string or wire to provide space for the cup while still allowing the original cup to pass through the bottom hole.
