Designed and fabricated with precision, this innovative device enables a camera to be mounted directly overhead for capturing detailed product videos. The movable and adjustable camera carriage allows for seamless filming either directly downward or at an angle, providing unparalleled flexibility. Moreover, having a remotely controlled camera is a significant advantage, offering users greater control over the shooting process. Completely 3D printed, this mount requires only two 16mm diameter aluminum tubes, approximately 700mm in length, which can be sourced from online retailers like eBay or AliExpress. The EndCap and EndClamp are secured to the tubes using four No4 self-tappers (drilled into a 2mm pilot hole). A camera can be effortlessly mounted utilizing its tripod bush, with an STL file available for a tripod screw adaptation. However, it is recommended to procure a metal screw for added durability, as a 3D printed screw may break under excessive tightening. If opting for a 3D printed screw, use a high infill of over 60% and always employ a strap on the camera, securely fastened to the frame, to prevent damage in case of a fall. This mount is compatible with both DSLR cameras and the Panasonic TZ200, with a dedicated bracket included specifically for the latter. Additional materials required include four No4 self-tappers and two 700mm lengths of 16mm aluminum tubing.
