Ceiling Camera Mount Bracket for VideoSecu

This was made so I could mount my camera and teleprompter to my office ceiling by means of a VideoSecu ceiling TV mount. The TV mount is substantially cheaper than custom camera mounting brackets and truss systems, and is very flexible in that it's a straight pole with a sturdy metal bracket at the bottom. This plate is meant to be cut flat out of a sheet of 3mm metal, ideally with a waterjet, then bent on a metal brake, so it is sturdy enough to hold a camera rig even out towards the end of the bracket. The arcs for the mounting screws allow the entire bracket to tilt the camera up or down, and the sliding tripod screw slot allows the camera to be mounted closer or further from the pole (allowing for larger camera rigs). I tapped a 1/4"-20 thread in the far end of the mount using a set of Irwin taps, and then used a tripod screw from my SmallRig tripod screw set to attach the camera. I have a blog post on the story behind this project and how I assembled it here: https://www.jeffgeerling.com/blog/2021/i-made-custom-ceiling-mount-my-camera
