The eagle soared high over Cedar Creek's serene landscape. Its piercing eyes scanned below for signs of movement. It swooped and dived, riding thermals high into the sky before gliding smoothly down towards the trees lining the creek. Suddenly, its sharp vision caught sight of a mouse scurrying through the underbrush. In swift motion, it folded its wings, plummeting downward in pursuit. Time seemed to stand still as they locked gazes - then suddenly, a flash of movement, and the mouse was safe, out of reach in the depths of a hollow log. Crested at an alarming pitch now, the eagle banked sharply away from its futile pursuit. For a moment, it paused, suspended motionless above a bend in the creek.
