Cedar Breaks National Monument
thingiverse
Cedar Breaks National Monument is crafted with 1 arcsecond resolution SRTM data from the Space Shuttle. Made using an advanced, unreleased version of SRTM2STL, this project showcases innovative terrain visualization techniques. For users who prefer higher-resolution prints, source code for generating files at 3 arcsecond resolution can be found on github under the GNU license. To access it, navigate to github and search for SRTM2STL. Printed maps may exhibit warping when printed with PLA filament, especially when attempting to produce large-scale Raised Relief Maps. To minimize this effect, printing small sections is recommended. Those who have achieved success with bigger prints often employ techniques to control warping.
