CEAD system

The CEAD system allows remote operation and verification of container locking during transport, either by sea or on the road. Each container has an electrical conduit (coaxial) in all four corners, which connects to two corner blocks at the top and bottom respectively. The electrical system is only energized when a crane operator remotely activates each CEAD. This ensures safety during transportation, particularly at sea. Only the crane operator can lock the corners and monitor their status on-screen. Remote operation is possible with a wireless device, provided that the crane operator authorizes it. The computer application captures feedback from each of the two motors in every CEAD. Each CEAD has a symmetric mechanism powered by two servo motors. An axial vertical electrical connection device contacts the coaxial leads at the container corner. Two codes activate the CEAD - one for the bottom and another for the top, with arrows indicating the mounting direction. To prolong CEAD's life, a non-showcased seal should be installed in the two covered areas.
