This project proposal is designed to spark a lively discussion and collaborative work on various models of traditional pandemic respirators, specifically simple Ambu actuators that can be easily manufactured in low-income countries using basic technologies. The accompanying files represent the second iteration, dubbed "Compass," due to its innovative actuation mechanism. To simplify local fabrication, critical details such as screws have been omitted from the design drawings, allowing for customization with readily available materials. This project has been made openly accessible in order to solicit cooperation and input on design improvement and quality control.
