Print spool sidewalls only when hundreds of CDs are pointless clutter. The simplest option: print the CD_spool file and attach two CDs. Instant cable management with this adaptable spool. To manage thinner wires or tight radii, centre the CD_spool_b bobbin within. For smooth handling of 1.75mm ABS filament, it's ideal within a compact radius. It has a purpose-designed hole to secure the filament end. Note that it's not suited for thicker PLA; such filaments tend to snap after some time. Printing two CD_spool3 files produces an efficient cable spool with built-in compartments. Use this opportunity to organize cables without unplugging them mid-route. If extra space is needed, substitute with the CD_spool3b variant for enhanced radius capacity on a cable setup. Use glue as desired, since adhesion isn't mandatory; the design doesn't require it. The design is flexible and adaptable to any filament you choose: ABS or PLA. In the centre of this design lies an opening suited specifically for attaching 8mm spool holder rods, although such additional hardware remains optional. It's crucial to cut through the gaps precisely to secure the CDs neatly in place, making a fine job of cleaning them up with a precise knife a necessary step before finishing.
