CD rack from a tool box

We stumbled upon some CDs floating around and yearned for a sleek, portable CD holder. We discovered affordable metal tool chests at the local superstore that seemed perfect for this endeavor. So I designed a rack system to stack the CDs neatly within the tool chest. The source is an openSCAD file where you can account for various box sizes. The CD box I created holds 22 CDs (and two double CDs).Instructions:Purchase a budget-friendly tool chest measuring at least 20 x 20 x 20 cm. In this instance, measure the space inside and modify the openSCAD file accordingly. When utilizing a box of the same size we used, you can directly print 4 pieces of the STL file with your 3D printer. We bonded the rack into the box using 2-component epoxy resin.
With this file you will be able to print CD rack from a tool box with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on CD rack from a tool box.
