CD gripper for a CD changer
thingiverse
This is an active gripper designed to replace a CD changer's actuator, eliminating the need for one. As you push it into a CD, it drives an eccentric on the shaft, opening or closing the jaws. The design still requires refinement - the return spring isn't sufficient to turn the ratchet. Since further development is necessary, only FreeCAD files are being uploaded (no STLs). To function properly, the gripper needs 3 springs from ballpoint pens and a pin crafted from a paperclip. It can be attached to any robot arm or actuator of your choice. Print with a layer thickness of 0.1mm or lower; supports and rafts are not required. A rectilinear infill of 15% is sufficient for this design.
