CD/DVD Bookend V1

I had a bunch of old CDs and DVDs just collecting dust around here. So I decided to turn them into something useful instead of throwing them away. My first idea was to make bookends out of some cut-in-half CDs. The OpenSCAD file can be customized for the number of CD/DVD halves you want to use, and you can also switch the rendering of the side legs on or off. ### Assembly and Preparation I stuck the CDs in the freezer for 10 minutes first, and then I was able to cut them all up pretty easily. The printed result you see here is 5 CDs that have been halved. I glued the half pieces together before putting them in place. The main thing to keep in mind is to line them all up on the center hole. I didn't need to glue the CDs into the bookend, as it fit really snugly. You might need to do some light sanding on the edges you cut for a smooth and even surface.
