CD Dividers

CD Dividers

thingiverse

A collection organizer for CDs and DVDs. The design features dividers that keep a music library tidy. I don't have files for customization, but Tinkercad users can make their own modifications: https://www.tinkercad.com/users/1y9R7C9M0KV-purelynicole Printer Settings: Printer: Monoprice Maker Select (Wanhao Duplicator I3) Rafts: No supports are needed. Resolution: .1 mm is the minimum resolution for a crisp finish. Infill: 25% infill density provides sufficient strength while saving filament. Notes: This print requires accurate bed leveling due to its large size, spanning almost a 200mm x 200mm printing surface. A level test file is included that takes only 30% of the time needed for one divider, allowing users to identify any issues before printing full-size dividers. Best results are achieved by printing with a .1 mm base layer, which produces a smooth finish on both sides. Design Background: This project started as an exercise in learning Tinkercad. A CD was measured and used as the basis for designing the dividers. The 1" letter size was chosen because it leaves more space on my shelf. The hex pattern is an efficient use of filament, allowing me to save time and materials.
