I designed this car holder from scratch for my iPhone X, which features a substantial quadlock case. None of the existing files on the site matched perfectly with my device's unique dimensions, so I created this custom model that fits flawlessly with my iPhone X and its quadlock shell. This design also works seamlessly with iPhone 6, 7, 8, or other smartphones of similar size! I added a small notch to enable easy cable management once the vehicle is exited, allowing for effortless cable retrieval without dragging on the ground. This model was initially printed in PLA, but I soon discovered that exposure to heat can cause deformation. Although this design exhibits greater resistance than three other models I tested, it's still susceptible to warping. If you're using reinforced PLA, ASA, or PETG filaments, a stronger print is guaranteed! No support materials or raft were required for this project. The settings used for printing included a 0.2mm layer height, 205°C hotend temperature, 60°C bed temperature, and 30% infill with AnyCubic i3 Mega slicer and Cura software.
